THE SHORT VERSION

A useful starting point.

  • Choose a waterfront walk or one separate beach outing.
  • Confirm the entrance, transport and return service.
  • Follow local restrictions and current warnings.
01

Choose the experience before the destination

A seaside walk, time on sand and a boat excursion are different kinds of day. Choose one main experience and allow for travel, finding the right entrance and returning comfortably. Visiting several beaches in one afternoon can turn a relaxed coastal break into a transport schedule.

Consider the town-side Promenade for a waterfront stroll. Compare Serenity, Eden or Paradise Beach for a separate outing after confirming the exact destination and access. Similar beach names and nearby entrances can be confusing; share a destination pin with your driver.

02

Compare the practical choices

For the Promenade, check current access and local traffic arrangements. For Serenity or Eden, confirm the drop-off point, available facilities and your return ride. Do not assume every entrance has toilets, changing areas, shade or food service.

If planning Paradise Beach via Chunnambar, ask the boat operator whether services are running, what the ticket includes and when the last return leaves. Government tourism publishes boat tariffs, but this guide does not guarantee a fare or service on your date.

03

Arrange the return journey first

Agree a clear pickup point and whether the vehicle will wait. Ask whether the price includes parking, waiting and additional stops. If using a separate return ride, establish how you will contact it rather than expecting transport to be available at a quiet entrance.

For boat travel, ask about boarding, life jackets and any child or mobility requirements before paying. Leave time for queues and the final return service. A road drop-off and a boat ticket may lead to different parts of a coastline.

04

Follow conditions on the day

A calm-looking sea does not prove that swimming is permitted or suitable. This article does not designate a beach as safe for swimming. Follow posted restrictions, flags, staff instructions and current official warnings. Keep children supervised around waves, rocks and river mouths.

Check the IMD regional warnings before coastal plans. If access is restricted or services stop, choose another outing. An illustration cannot show today’s currents, weather or restrictions, and a travel itinerary is never permission to bypass a closure.

05

Pack for one comfortable outing

Take water, sun protection, suitable footwear and a way to protect belongings from spray or rain. Keep luggage light enough for the journey you have chosen. Respect residents and fishing activity, and carry litter back.

Ask the hotel about transport from Rue Suffren and leave time to return for a meal or rest. Our seasonal guide and family guide can help you decide whether a longer excursion fits your stay.
